The Sigma is almost as big as most zooms in the range. And maybe it's just me but what's the use of a fast lens if it's horribly soft wide open - as almost every review says about this Sigma. I love this brand but this lens never even crossed my mind. I might as well get a Canon 28/1.8 which at least isn't that huge and gets usable even below f/2.8 where I have my 16-35.
Of course it's not perfect, no lens is. The question is if it's usable and fits the OP's purpose. I might doubt it because Vieux loup says he needs the lens for landscape and architecture, and that's where even resolution across the image is more important than large aperture.
Seems to have bad corners until stopped down a lot but OK center at any aperture. Though it's MF only.

This Tokina is interesting but unlikely to get a FF review here as it's discontinued.
