I'd guess that's based on system coverage. There's just a lot more of everything in m4/3 land than anywhere else mirrorless right now, and they've got a good balance of size/price/performance in general terms. If I were starting from scratch (no existing SLR, no mirrorless, no photo style) then I think a Panasonic model X standard zoom would be a tempting starting point and there is a reasonable lens coverage for most applications.
Sony would be a great choice if they can quickly crank out more lenses, particularly smaller ones.
