To me, it's the most versatile lens I own as it combines a great range, good sharpness, pseudo macro, it's 2.8 from 17 to 21mm and it features good bokeh, flare resistance and CA control. I already have the 50 f\1.8G. I really like it. I was aboutto get the 40 macro but found out that it almost impossible to find a Nikkor those days.
I'll try to find the sigma and test it. I'll see how it goes from there.
