That is one of the reasons I tried several samples. However, the D200 reviews were based on an older version of ACR that used a different demosaic algorithm. Newer ACR versions deliver lower values when used with the same parameters. That's most likely the explanation why the lens doesn't reach the same high values on the newer test cameras.



In addition, I have a sort of on/off relationship with the 105 VR myself. I have owned several units in the recent years, but there have been times where I thought I could be without a macro at all or simply prefered to use a different lens.

Why don't you put the same 105vr on D200 to see if you can get the same high center resolution? Of course this can be done only if you still have the D200 (perhaps not any more)<img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
