I said I would send the lens, and I will (tomorrow), but I am having serious doubts about resolution charts and numbers.



Please have a look at your own link for a comparison between the 18-35 @35mm and f4.5 vs the 17-35 at f4 in the corners, in particular the vertical lines. I don't need to remind anyone that the 17-35 is a 2000-ish euros lens. At f4 the 17-35 has been stopped down but the 18-35 at 4.5 is wide open, yet it should be clear that the 18-35 out performs the 17-35 in the corners!
