I'm very confused now...
I tested all lenses with Tim Jackson focus chart this evening... ( in kitchen, with newly-fitted, bright halogen spotlights)
Exposures were wide open at ISO 100, tripod, remote, mirror locked up
This evening, every lens appears to be back-focused. ALL of them appear to need AF micro-focus set almost to maximum -17 / -18

Lenses are:
- Nikon 12-24mm DX;
- 16-85mm DX VR;
- 35mm 1.8 DX;
- 50mm AF-S 1.4G;
- 85mm 1.8D
A few questions:
- Does halogen light disrupt autofocus? I haven't noticed any problems before now, so I'm wonderimg if testing in these conditions is a bad idea?
- Is it possible that dropping the camera in the summer (thread here) may have affected the autofocus system?
- I'm now seriously considering sending the camera (D7000) and ALL my lenses to Nikon for calibration, as I'm no longer thinking the 12-24mm is the only lens I'm having AF problems with. BUT I'm also only half-convinced by the AF tests this evening...
