I resemble that remark. If I ever were to seriously go 1D series body, having f/8 AF to allow use of extenders would help reduce the crop loss compared to smaller sensor bodies. The OVF just isn't accurate enough for MF and using LV unsupported in the field just isn't fun.
Then again, in this kinda application the 7D does well enough anyway. Only if I was in the middle of nowhere for weeks might I'd want something tougher. But I'd want a higher MP lower fps option than the X.
