Probably not. The M9 perfectly demonstrates the issues a full frame sensor faces combined with such a short flange distance (very high vignetting (despite optimized micro lenses) and color shifts towards the borders with short focal lenghts).
I think it speeks for itself that Leica themselves considered a full-frame digital M "impossible" not too long ago and that no one else has tried it so far.
