Distortion correction and bokeh
#1
I was just thinking about distortion correction, when you correct distortions you are interpolating and changing in the picture, if the area concerned is out of focus, then we gain nothing with the correction, however how do you think this affects bokeh ?

Any possibility of testing this ?

#2
Hardly.

There's also no real test why one needs to open a new thread for a question directly related to another thread, but there you go...

And then, who cares?

#3
well in the latter thread there's no mention of the effect of electronic correction on bokeh !!

It is the former thread, not the latter one. And what problem would you be causing if you ask that question in that thread?
#5
Yeah it would have an effect but I don't think I have a lens that requires that much distortion correction with any excessive bokeh anyway.

Maybe one of the new wide angles focused very up close with background in near infinity?
