... perfect match <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />

These two birds were a little more nervous and angry than usual. Third image was shot during an attempt to get hold of the lens ... or my fingers? <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Huh' />

Shot with D3x and AF-D 70-210/4.

Thx! Maybe she (or he?) simply mistook the lens for a fisheye.

I thought there is only an AF version of this f/4 lens, but an AF-D f/4-5.6 70-210 mm?

Sorry, you're right, of course. The 70-210/4 does not provide distance information.

Nice shots... The last one especially. I think she believes that she has a very lovely hair style to show...<img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />

If I remember correctly AF 70-210 f/4s is the first AF lens from Nikon in that FL range. And it shares the same optical design with the famous MF E series zoom lens. By the way, anything to report about the MF ring <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />?

Hey, why not reviewing some of the "obviously crappy" lenses...
