Add to that the not pocketability due to the not retracting lens, and the lesser creative possibilities compared to a DSLR, and it narrows the customer base more.

That ultra micro nikkor 55mm f2 with a focus helicoid would look awesome on that J1 though. I don't think the flange distance will be small enough to allow a focussing helicoid with my ultra micro nikkor 28mm f1.8.
