I think "we" have the problem that we are looking downwards (from a SLR perspective).

If we came from digicams it wouldn't be quite as obvious as you suggest here.



Frankly I do also believe that the J1/V1 quality is more than "good enough" for most users anyway.

And most digicam users will not care about depth-of-field capabilities. Most DSLR user don't care either (just think of all the slow speed kits out there).

Well, the web may be a bit (Canon EOS?) biased but basically they´re saying what I throught & said immediately after the introduction of the Nikon ms solution. Lets see how the (potential) customers will react... I´m still very pesimistic, though.
