... yes no doubt, but for me it's crop-ability too - so when i don't want to frighten away my street subjects with my 600mm f4 nikkor pointing at them from a distance, i can use a lesser lens, crop, and feel safe
. . . but having just spent some time with a super street photographer in ca i now realize it's best to use a tiny cam, move in close and smile nicely at a complete stranger while taking their photo - it seems to be a wonderful way to make new friends - well, for him anyway
