It is very significant for all those technophiles and most likely irrelevant for any picture that you will ever take.
It's a compact camera with a "large sensor" for its class, similar to LX5, G12, XZ-1 and so on...
What is (imho) much more interesting is the technology to increase dynamic range. IF this really works it can make a huge difference, for example between shooting a wedding (black + white clothes) with next to unusable picture and shooting a wedding with very useable pictures.
The big question to me about that Fuji camera is, if it falls into another category of portability to a small EVIL camera + a small lens. I'm not sure about that.
Btw, 85% (linear or area?) viewfinder in an optical compact zoom camera is quite good. Typical numbers for similar viewfinders are around 75%. (this is the reason why I always wonder why people want optical zoom viewfinders on compact cameras. I often believe they have never used one). Imho it is usable for shooting sports or maybe in very bright conditions, but it is more a aiming device...
