Of course they're going to be expensive. But I'd be willing to pay such premium to "rationalize" my photobag. A fast, zoomable, 24mm equivalent might well render my 9-18 pointless. Paired with a good performing 45-175 (the 45-200 is a real let down, IMHO) and voila!
But I reckon I'll consider investing such amounts only if we get to see a definite improvement on the sensor side or if we see a GH2 sensor, or similar, appear on a wider range of products e.g. Olympus ;-). My hope would be of course to get the kind of bump we saw with the Sony 16mp sensor on APS-C sensors. Relatively speaking that is, not hoping to get to its level. My impression is that Panasonic would be capable of doing such breakthrough.
