photo sharing sites

I am looking to select a site to store my images and to share with family, friends and other interested parties. Which one do you recommend; flickr, the Nikon site or some other good site for this kind of storing and sharing? Your good ideas would be appreciated!<img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

I would not choose anything bound to a camera brand (the Nikon thing you mentioned). They do also have limited storage, don't they?

I used to use Fotki which has unlimited storage in the paid version. There is a 6GB traffic limit (per month, IIRC), but that is hard to hit. You can set custom access passwords for individual folders, so that you can share different things with the right people. On the downside it is slow to upload photos and the features are behind the other sites like Flickr or Smugmug.

Flickr is more of a social network thing, depends on whether you like that. Smugmug is also worth a look.
