27 Inch Monitor for photoshop
#1
Hello everyone,

I am shopping for a new 27 inch monitor and do not want to spend more than $400.00. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

I use a Dell U2711 at work. Unfortunately, photo work is not what I am getting paid for, but the occasional photo viewing tells me that I would choose this screen for photo work as well. We have several other expensive screens here, but the color capabilities of the Dell are just superb.

For photo work, you don't want any less than 2560x1440 pixels resolution in a 27 inch screen. And the Dell is the cheapest of these. No way to pay less than the 400 USD you mentioned.

That much large screen and a price tag below 400$ is a dream...

I use Dell 2209WA... It has an IPS panel with a very decent resolution. And it's price is very reasonable...

And I - partly - agree with ThomasD. You may be able to find a decent $400 monitor with 1920x1080 and 27 inch but think about it twice. It's possible that it is not the right choice for you.

Upgraded to NEC PA271W a few weeks ago.
