Requested lens tests
#1
Hi Klaus, Markus, Sebastian et al,

I wonder if it is possible for you to test the lenses below.

Sigma 50-500 OS

Sigma 150-500 OS

Panasonic 14-140 OIS

TIA.

Both on my list, but not for the immediate future. Got a loan offer for the 150-500, will probably purchase the 50-500 new. However, such long lenses are quite a nightmare to test <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' /> I currently have no option to measure resolution of such long lenses indoors. Testing outdoors means I will have to wait for days with almost no wind, low temperature and most preferably overcast sky (so I can setup my own light). During summer, the temperatures are usually too high (resulting in shimmering air), so this narrows the test timeframe down to early spring or late autumn.

However, there might be an indoor option available, too, I'm just not sure, yet.

In any case: I will most likely test those two on FX only.

Thanks a lot. I'm very curious to know the results.

What about the 14-140?
#4
The 50-500 OS certainly looks promising, especially for Nikon shooters.

No, I learned from watching. And you seem to do well, too <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

Will the Tamron 200-500 also be tested too?
