Well, I can put it on the "wishlist". I think the Samyang 35/1.4 has a higher priority though.

The Samyang 35mm f1.4 appears to have higher barrel distortion too <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />.

BUt its bohek seems to be very nice, like the Zeiss.

You supposed to be a German website? How come Samyang be prioritized over CZ? <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

Well, quite simple: the Samyang is quite affordable, while the Zeiss, despite lacking AF, is even more expensive than the Canon and Nikon offerings.

P.S.: yes, I know you probably weren't really serious about that question <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

Markus, apparently Samyang is a little delayed while CZ 35mm 1.4 is available everywhere now. Unfortunately, there are no free reviews of the CZ lens on the net, yet.Do you still think it is a low priority for PZ?(a straw in the wind) <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

I checked availability of the ZF 35/1.4 just yesterday and unfortunately cannot confirm your "everywhere" statement <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' /> It's not in stock at the places I usually shop, not even available directly from Zeiss (they run a web shop, too). So, at least for the next few weeks, its place in the test queue was filled with other lenses ...

It's not a low priority lens for us, but there are simply lots of other lenses with higher priority.

For this one, I would even make an exception to our rule to not accept loaners directly from the manufacturers. However, last time Klaus contacted Zeiss with such a request, he did not even get an answer. Not sure it makes sense to ask again ...
