Zeiss 35mm 1.4 ze

I checked availability of the ZF 35/1.4 just yesterday and unfortunately cannot confirm your "everywhere" statement <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' /> It's not in stock at the places I usually shop, not even available directly from Zeiss (they run a web shop, too). So, at least for the next few weeks, its place in the test queue was filled with other lenses ...

It's not a low priority lens for us, but there are simply lots of other lenses with higher priority.

For this one, I would even make an exception to our rule to not accept loaners directly from the manufacturers. However, last time Klaus contacted Zeiss with such a request, he did not even get an answer. Not sure it makes sense to ask again ...

Well, the optics are identical for both lenses, so for us it will make more sense to test the ZF.2 version, since that one can also be adapted to the 5D (as we have done with several ZF lenses in the past).

Please, please, the Zeiss 35mm 1.4 is very high on my wish list.

I have some F-Hasselblad lenses I could borrow to test. I know they are not on your wish list...but I thought I'd give it a try.
