Kawah Ijen by night

I definitely would not want to work there as a miner, but the photos by Olivier Grunewald are quite impressive, I think:

"Grunewald lost one camera and two lenses to the harsh conditions in the crater, and when it was over, he threw all of his clothes in the garbage, as the sulfuric smell was so strong and would not wash out"

Cheers,

Thanks a lot for that link.

Very good pictures and some stuff to think about.

I guess it is worth reading the comments on the original page.

I was thinking of the people working there but somebody had already made the comment:

"Think of these images the next time you want to complain about your line of work."

I was there last year and I can tell you that is really crazy beautiful and also dangerous, but I wasn't there at night.

If I would know that it's possible to go at night I would definately be there <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />
