Wow. I find the timing very good. You ware at the right place at the right moment.

Good composition. I find the light spectacular. Yes the blue hour will create different image – warm volcanic lava against cool blue sky. But I cannot tell you which picture will be better.

Once again this image proof that nature disaster gives a lot of photographic possibilities.



Well done!

I wish I have such image in my photo collection.

Excellent shots! I wish I was in Iceland at the height of their volcano but I missed out by a few days :-(

I used 40D + 70-200 f/4L + tripod (+ extender 1.4x in some shots)



I hope I took the right exif data....



85mm for the photo with larger FOV (1600 ISO, 1s, f/6.3)

280mm (200+Extender 1.4X) f/7.1 (ISO100 1s) for the other photo



I was very lucky, because from my house I enjoyed that fantastic show.
