next PZ lens test report: Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 USM L IS

A very sound performance on the EOS 50D:

Therefore highly recommended for APS-C users.

I wonder how that one compares optical wise to the new Tamron AF 70-300mm 4-5.6 Di SP VC USD . A 1000 € less is quite a bit. Any plans on reviewing the tammy? I thought Markus has it already on his Nikon, is it working now? Can´t wait. <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

300mm is a tricky setting for the tests - especially for the APS-C tests. You have to have lots of space here so it cannot be done in the normal lab. Markus has more problems finding a suitable location so it takes longer than expected unfortunately. However, the top priority is really the 24-120/4.

Klaus, do you have a Canon-test of the Tamron 70-300 VC on the radar, or will

there be just the Nikon test (once it's finished)?
