Do you guys have any influence on what gets advertised here? Did the Scientology wackjobs find a way to slide past that?

I wonder if they did that specifically because this website is being run from germany?

I have just blocked all religious content (and several other categories) in the Google Adsense setup. I guess this fits here.

Basically Google decides what to show in these banners but I've just activated a filter in their ad management setup.
