That's not very modern actually. I used that technique 30-odd years ago already <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

I even made my own B&W 3D slides, stereo images as we used to call them.
