Quite impressive actually.

Not bad at all. It did strike me though that these images really shows how very limited the DOF possibilities are on 4/3 with anything less than very bright lenses. Nothing surprising in that, admittedly, but it just caught my attention looking at these shots.

Yeah, but that's also true for an APS-C 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 lens.

That is true too, but of course an 18-200 f3.5-5.6(Canon/Nikon) has an edge (although not all that big) still on APS-C over a 14-150 f4-5.6 on 4/3rds, where shallow DOF is concerned. About 2/3rds of an f-stop worth.

Not the lenses of choice though, for shallow DOF.

At 14mm there is some nice CA to be seen and some softening in the corners. Right now I find it hard to judge whether this is worse or similar to the 14-42 m.Zuiko.

Yea I noticed a bit of CA @ 17mm and a touch of purple fringing but not too bad. If this a middle tier lens (olympus has 3 ties but the names for them escape me; 12-60 is middle; kit lenses are bottom and f2 zooms are top).

Hum the long end has a bit of CA and very vulnerable to bokeh ca. Still this seems a nice option; now just need for olympus to introduce the gh1 equiv with olympus goodies (ibis, ...) and new approach to anti-alias filters.
