    Hi BC!

   Puzzling yes and no ...... I noticed it with most telephoto lenses ...when the sun is high ... the sky is often super blue and the effect of "trees producing stronger blues around the foliage may play a part" ........

   .......... however, moon shots always seem to produce a blue fringe in the upper edge of the moon .... this can be seen in my five image stacked half moon shot.
  The weather is now showing how the lens can perform with F4 images looking as sharp as when stopped down!
