I don't think a lens is a "being", but rather a "thing"?
Looking at the "cats eye" test I noticed that the corner spots look distinctly smeared, and that made me wonder if that is connected to the dismal corner performance of the lens in the MTF test. Looking at lenstip results, astigmatism is not that bad, but coma is rather very strong. I do not understand what coma does very well, can it partly explain the bad border performance, also in combination with the quite high CA?
