MPs is not correct, actually. Like Kilobyte has KB as unit symbol, for Megapixel it is MP. So even if it is more than 1 megapixel, it is still just MP. And it is 230V, not 230Vs. And a marathon is 42.195 km, not 42.195 kms.

I speak traditional English before such technical terms as megapixels existed .... 
..... now we are supposed to say one euro  ...... two euros ..... three euro ...... four euro .... a nonsense in my view.
...... Why?  because some Euro bureau ordained it as such! ....... so I won't ...... I say ten euros ..... and bugger them!

BTW.   I also refuse to say "an hotel" ...... Why? ...... they say it's because of French "un hôtel" ...... but hotel in french is not ........aspirated...... and is pronounced "otel" .......it is aspirated in English (if you don't drop your aitches) so IMHO it should be "a hotel" ........ 95% of English say " I stayed at a hotel " .........  Cockneys would say I stayed at "an otel"

 BTW.  We used to say ......... "Bert is a small/short man" ...... now the powers that be insist that we say ..... "Bert is vertically challenged" ..

before it was a description ...... now he is under attack !! ..... I mean really ??
