Tamron 17-70 mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD or Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN?
#11
I find your position towards Sony a bit strange, to be honest. The 16-50mm that you have been using isn't a benchmark for the whole system.

The Sigma 18-50, Tamron 17-70, and Sony 16-55 are all very good. Canon RF APS-C has literally nothing that can compete here, and the pointer to an essentially deprecated EF system is quite a weak one.

Canon didn't even bother to design the RF-S 18-150mm for RF mount - they just took the EF-M version and plugged the new mount into it.

Canon RF-S is - by quite a margin - the weakest small format mirrorless system.

Totally agree that  Canon RFs is very weak, even Canon EFs is still better....and no plans to invest in Canon RFS.

From lenses point of view Sony APS-C is still lagging when it comes to lenses, Fuji, Nikon, Canon EFS and even Pentax have a better lineup and almost all are cheaper.
Sony does have some good lenses but  as a lineup, but as a system  you will always have  something missing.
10-18 is excellent, but had to wait ages for tamron 11-20f2.8 , 18-135 is good but no decent equivalent to Nikon 16-85 or Canon 15-85, those are the lenses users ask most. They have 20+ 50mm lens, but  most users don't care for this
