40mp are a little nuts on APS-C. But then again - 20% cheaper than the H2s, it seems.

How does 40mp translate to in FF and MFT land?

We won't be able to make byte-precise calculations without BC, I fear.

Anyone knows what happened to BC btw?

Has he left the forum?

I got too many PMs about his behavior so I banned him for a while. I've lifted the ban in the meantime but I reckon he's gone.

The equiv FF megapixels would be 94 based on the same pixel density.

At this density, the diffraction limit is reached at f/5.6-6.3 ( https://forum.opticallimits.com/attachment.php?aid=173 )

Thanks for the information, Klaus.

About BC it's true that diplomacy was never his forte, unfortunately :-(
However, he had great knowledge to share which was beneficial to many.

40mp APS-C is very dense indeed, but it's just a matter of time until FF sensors follow suit.
