I do agree that the highlights at stark contrasts aren't ideally rendered in this image.

Somehow this lens has piqued my interest with it's strange background bokeh in that nice old jalopy image .... given it's max aperture of only F2.8, it made me wonder if a macro lens of the same focal length would be a more versatile choice ...

just saying ....
