Why does everyone assume it'll be massive. It'll be in the 300/2.8 or 400/4 ball park. Sure, not lightweight compact travel lens, but not silly size and weight either.
24-300 might be more believable as a 28-300 successor, but a 28-560 is a new class. I'd love a longer >10x zoom lens. The old 35-350L was more interesting to me than the 28-300L, and there's Sigma's 50-500 also.
