Thank you Klaus testing the two super-tele-zooms. I have got the Sigma after  reading your test-reports, and I do not regret it. First I was pondering a long time, because my experiences with Sigma in the Canon- FD-times were not too great.

As a hobby photographer I cannot spend 10000€ ore more for a 600mm-tele. The optical performance fits my needs well, because my favourite subjects are birds. The autofocus works well on my 5D II and also on my old 40D.

The mechanical quality is amazing. The included hood is also a perfect solution, not just an extra 100€- yoghurt-cup.
