RAW converters am I missing something?
#2
DPP 4 has been developed new, it was not a simple update to DPP 3. In the beginning it only could convert RAW files from the newest FF bodies, now they have added support for every body and even a number of compacts which offer a version of RAW with features that DPP 4 uses.

Cameras older then the ones that offer picture styles (not saying it is the picture styles that DPP 4 needs, just saying that that is the line in the sand which we can easily distinguish) will not be supported simply because the RAW files have evolved over time, and DPP 4 uses things those cameras lack.

DPP 3 still is supported for Mac OS and Windows.

I see no reason to every once in a while come with the same complaint/question, though?

What I find sad is that RPP (a bare bones Mac OS only converter which specialised in better conversions regarding noise and sharpness with the use of better computation) seems to have stopped development. As fas as I know it is a one guy development, and such things happen.
