I don't know where you are, but in Europe the to cameras are the same price from the good net shops. You mentioned the pentax K5. This is of course a camera that walks circles around both the Nikon D7000 and the Canon 60D and can be compared to the Canon 7D and Nikon D300s. If you have no lenses, the pentax is a very good hoice and less pricey than the other two and a camera that you can grow with for ever. Never mind the pixel peeping for lenses. All the manufacturers have good lenses and just find the camera that suits your hands and feels good when you touch it. Then buy one good lense and grow rom there.
