Cheap Nikon-G to MFT adapter - popo - 07-26-2010

Apparently someone has managed to make a Nikon G to EOS adapter with mechanical aperture control! I don't see any pics yet.

Actually, that is a co-operation between 16-9.net and Novoflex. Essentially this is V.3 of this adapter, and this G-EOS adapter has been available for quite some time already. Personally, I own V.2 of this adapter, which I used with a Nikkor 14-24 F/2.8, and it does work well. However, metering is at fully closed aperture, and it isn't possible in any easy way to exactly control the aperture with the lever. It has 3 settings: wide open, F/8, and fully closed. Any other setting you have to guesstimate from shutter speed changes when further opening or closing.

This is IOW a slightly newer version of the adapter I talked about a little higher up, just that this is the Novoflex branded version.

Very good quality, and a little expensive, too.

Kind regards, Wim
