I think I'm getting repetitive but even with the crappy sensor doesn't the EP-3 beat the nikon 1 in every department (focus speed, image quality, ...) ?

While I don't have direct experience of either, I understand the Nikon 1 does have better tracking AF. That is what I care about most, so everything else is secondary as long as it doesn't totally suck. I don't care the sensor is smaller, as the image looks more than good enough. I'm not in any hurry to get a 2nd (smaller) system given what I have already, so I'm prepared to wait and see what a 2nd generation 1 body would be like, and maybe by then they'll have some nicer longer lenses too and can better utilise the smaller sensor advantage. Or maybe Canon will have bought out their system by then. Or m4/3, NEX or whatever will have decent tracking AF too.
Right now I don't see any mirrorless system as a viable replacement to my DSLRs and compact pairing. I've practically given away my E-P1 now since it is redundant and worthless on the used markets.
