Yikes, crazy price. Even if the pound is very low at the moment, it still is a bit higher than the Euro.
Here (the Netherlands) its official price is €799, but can be bought for €719 (including tax).
Compared to the Canon EF 17-40mm f4 L USM it is not such a bargain.. it can be bought for €709 at the same store, and the Canon is better built, less heavy, has USM and a slightly better range.
Compared to the Nikon it has a few plusses (less expensive, lighter, smaller, less barrel distortion) and minuses (no VR, no AF-S).
