Hi Klaus & Markus,
Do you plan on reviewing the new [url="http://www.kenro.co.uk/product/TokinaATXPro17-35_F4Lens/3/524/Tokina+AT-X+17-35+F4+Pro+FX+Lens.html"]Tokina 17-35 f/4[/url] lens on fullframe at some point in the future?
I'm seriously considering it for my D800 as a potential alternative to the Nikkor 16-35 f/4.
From what I saw online, it seems to have very low barrel distortion which is a major aspect of a UWA lens (for me).
I guess other people may be very interested in this test as an alternative to manufacturers' offering.

Ken Rockwell has a review of this lens; in summary better than the Nikon 17-35 in terms of resolution and no distortion. Very light, he rec's it highly!

In the US it's much more affordable: $700 at B&H and Adorama. Even after adding international shipping and immigration fees, it remains a great value considering the specs (in Switzerland the lens is 1200 CHF!! Just nuts).
Optically it seems to have much better corners than the 17-40L and it seems to match the Nikkor 16-35 VR. It is also weather sealed. The AF-S doesn't bother me as focus speed is not really an issue on a UWA. The only downer compared to the Nikkor is the lack of VR.
