Hey Klaus,

I love the website, and I registered just to say this:

I've noticed that several of your sample shots on the Canon FF review suffer from the "5d2 Live View image-bottom vignetting" problem. This happens when you use a lens with no AF-confirm chip and shoot in Live View...for some reason, particularly at fast shutter speeds, the shutter doesn't clear the bottom of the frame in time. It's easily solved by focusing, then turning off Live View, or by getting a chip! If you don't know what's going on, it'll make you think there is something seriously wrong with a lens (I was pulling my hair out until I read about it the first time!) Might this have had an effect on your vignetting tests?

PS - I don't mean to presume...just thought it might be helpful!

Well, I used LiveView for the vignetting tests and the results are perfectly symmertrical here.

I think the effect is probably more related to the extremely high shutter speed when using large apertures in outdoor situations.

Where this is more of a problem when doing it from LiveView - maybe. I can try in future tests.
