The amount of data being sent back to MS is under scrutiny and those more paranoid may wish to wait for the dust to settle on that part, or some have taken to blocking those contacts by other means. That it is encrypted is a good thing. Imagine the uproar if it wasn't! Of course that doesn't answer the question, what exactly is it sending?

In terms of UI, for sure it is a no brainer to update from 8.x, but the case is less clear for 7. As I'm returning to PC gaming, DX12 will be needed sooner or later and I'm now running Win10 on all except one Win7 box.
