Nice equivalent lens of the Canon EF 70-300mm f4-5.6 L IS USM, with weather sealing and pro build quality. Size wise it is bigger, 160mm length minimum. But it weighs less at 880 grams, so gives the E-M1/E-M5/E-M10 a much appreciated weight advantage.

And it takes the new 1.4x teleconveter:

It is non-extending so it is debatable whether the Canon 70-300mm L IS is smaller.

Wonder how it will compare optically to the fuji 50-140.

Smaller in a bag, can't think of a reason why one would consider that it gets bigger when in use on the camera...

The new Olympus has quite a bit of "negative" focus breathing (FOV getting wider at MFD), it only reaches 0.21x magnification at 0.7 meters MFD (in comparison, the Canon 70-300mm L already is not great in that respect, showing the same 0.21x mag. at 1.2m MFD. Again in comparison, my 70-200mm f4 does 0.21 at 1.2m MFD).

Well, for one it will give quite a bit more tele reach...

I mentioned focus breathing for the Oly above. Most puzzling-ly, the Fuji's numbers are even worse. It only reaches 0.12x at 1m MFD according to Fuji's specs....
