Canon PowerShot G7X leaked
#1
Looks like a RX100 Mark I, but has a more interesting lens:

8.8-36.8mm f/1.8-2.8 with a 1" sensor is roughly equivalent to a 24-100mm f/4.8-8.0 on 35mm. In terms of DOF, it's better than most APS-C kit lenses  Big Grin

So many new premium compacts these days - thank you, smartphones  Wink

Looks pretty nice indeed.

It could be interesting if it features a good EVF. Otherwise, it's pointless.

Another more interesting camera IMO is the Panasonic LX100: http://www.43rumors.com/ft5-panasonic-lx...ever-made/

It features a larger sensor (with probably much better DR), an equally bright lens albeit a bit shorter and and incredible EVF.

Between the two, I'd choose the LX100 without hesitation.

I agree that an EVF would have been nice in the G7X.

Regarding the LX100, you have to take into account that it will most likely be bigger, heavier and probably also more expensive..

The sensor is also not that much bigger. 2.2 crop vs 2.7 on the Canon.

I have read a lot of negative comments about the G7X already and I honestly don't understand it completely. It's basically an improved RX100M1 - what's not to like about that? Wink
