Which Lens between 18-105 and 55-200?
#1
Hello, i've a Nikon D3200 with a 18-55 VR (the bundle's one) and i'm thinking about buying another zoom slightly higher, i've seen:

- 18-105 VR which i think that is more versatile and it would give more zoom without renounce to the wide angle

- 55-200 VR which would be complementary to my 18-55 VR but i would use it less than a 18-105 VR

I read that the 55-200 VR is better in terms of quality than the 18-105 VR. I've this doubt because the 18-105 VR would be suited to the 90% of (my) situations and it would let me to go around with just one lens instead of bringing with me more than one lens. What do you recommend?

Thank you!

I'm a typical DSLR user, so I do not mind at all to switch lenses. And I do not mind taking along a few lenses. So, I am obviously not the perfect one to advice you. But, maybe you should look at the Nikkor 18-140mm or any of the 18-200/250/270/300mm lenses, if your main concern is "one lens" and not image quality and DOF freedom.

Thank you for the answer, yep but the lenses that you mentioned are quite expensive... i'm looking for something cheaper that's why i chose 18-105 or 55-200, my question is about the quality of the lens, if the 55-200 is better than the 18-105 i choose it but if it's not i don't mind about the higher mm of the 55-200 than the 18-105. So, is the quality of the 55-200 so good to choose it instead of the portability of the 18-105? Thank you
