AF on Sigma 60/2.8 (Sony NEX)?
#1
I just bought the Sigma 30/2.8 and 60/2.8 lenses in NEX mount.

While I do like the 30mm (old version), the 60mm appears "unhealthy" in many respects (excluding image quality).

The "rattling"/vobbling" with camera off or in review mode is just terrible, but this is mentioned in the manual that comes with the lens.

And AF with NEX C3 is very unreliable. If it locks at the correct object, there's no FF/BF, but it misses the object all too often. There is sufficient light, it couldn't be blamed.

What is your experience with the AF of 60/2.8? Especially on the cameras without on-sensor phase-detection cells (3 and 5 series). Only NEX 6 has those, am I right? The higher resolution of NEX 7 may occasionally help with contrast-detection AF, but here I'm not an expert.

Thanks,

Oleg.

So far I didn't really run into an AF accuracy issue.
