Thus a 85mm f/1.9 ... interesting.
Well it competes against olympus 45f1.8. It is 2 stop fasters (almost 3?) but I wonder how much CA it will have; the other two lenses have quite a bit. Still for those who are willing to manual focus i think this is one of the more interesting lenses to show up.
If prices are close, a motorized panasonic 42.5mm f/1.2 might be a much more interesting proposition this time.
As long as we don't get focus peaking love and given the rather longish focal length, it's going to start shaking a lot for a manual focus lens when used with magnified view on Panasonic bodies (no IS)... Focus peaking allows to adjust without magnified view.
Hope Olympus & Panasonic will include it, someday.

You can do on an E-M5 using art filters. I have seen it demonstrated by a colleague.

I have tried it already, I'd not even call it a work around. Frame rate drops to rather low levels and we know for sure that the OMD can overlay without such impact on framerate (see very useful clipping shadow & highlight overlay). Doesn't help Panasonic users either :-) (poor guys still don't have the simplest form of auto iso control it seems :-()
Yea the panasonic 45f1.2 might be interesting though it will probably be expensive. To be honest the micro 4/3 is quite rich in the 40-60mm range with 6 lenses (4 of them already known to be a+; the other two not yet released). I think they need more tele lenses; maybe 50-200f4 or 100-300f4. Hum.
Seems to me Olympus will have to start making high grade zooms when they finish their prime frenzy. Let's see, we are covered with consumer-advanced zooms (14-42,12-50,75-300,14-150,40-150,9-18). They have rolled out primes : 12,17,45,60,75. Seems to me they might risk doing a completely unnecessary 25mm but after that, looks like it's time to go in that higher class zooms?
There's hoping for some kind of "12-60 & 50-200", perhaps ?
I would like have such hope but i suspect their solution will be a hybrid focus camera and reuse the old 4/3 lenses.
