' /> I thought I was going to make it on the 40mm stm, but the day before I went to buy it, the review was out.
I understand that there are various reasons for the delay of this review, but I think I am not alone in waiting for this one <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> In my world photozone reviews rank as number one, followed by the-digital-picture.com, then dpreview, and then lensrentals.
So far I love my lens, but I encountered something strange (and it might be my mistake...!). I have been taking some portrait shots for a campaign. The studio is way too tiny (it was a studio for greenscreen videoproduction), so I have been forced to go quite wide. I thought I would give the 35 a try, an I asked a collegue of mine to pose for some testshots for lighttinkering. As you can see in the enclosed shot I got a weird greenish cast in the centerpoint (you see it on her chin and below). I sent it back for service just to receive it back being told that there was nothing wrong with the lens, but this was probably an artifact of the light bouncing back thus creating this effect.. A kind of flare..?
Ok, that might be it, but it has not happened when shooting with the Canon 50 1.4, 24-105, Sigma 85 1.4, or the 70-200 II. I tried with both a 5D II, and a 1Ds III, and I always shoot with the lenshoods on.
Any thoughts on this?
