The most interesting aspect of this lens is "almost super APO"

It's a bit better than the L thing.

On the negative side – some users reports that flare resistance is not up to data. I don’t know how reliable those statements are.

Klaus I have one question. How good is the contrast/MTF10 of tested lens? This gives some indication about glare resistance.

MTF10 has little to do with glare. That's a different test setup which we haven't done (because it's not trivial).

Well, with my little experience I should say that there is correlation between MTF10 MTF40/50/60s and glare.

1. Tokina 100 macro comes in my mind. Razor sharp test charts pure contrast. Real life experience – this lens glare as a hell.

2. at http://www.zeiss.de/C12567A8003B8B6F/Emb...ven_EN.pdf

Page 17 Mr. Nasse gives also an example of glare and relation between MTF10 and MTF20s and 40s. BTW at the same page Mr. Nasse is bashing all measurements based on single point MTF e.g MTF50

Of course, MTF50 doesn't tell the whole story. We could provide MTF20 out of the box. However, frankly, at some stage we've reached information overload.

Sorry for misunderstanding. I don’t have an intention to ask for publishing MTF 10 or 20 charts. That was discussion a long time ago and you and community got decision not to publish them. It was clear for everyone ,right?

My initial question was - does Sigma glares or flares?
