the sensor doesn't look like Exmor sensor (connectors are different).
Expect low DR score at base ISO (as D3100)
Is that an excuse for the poor ISO performance? Some believe this is the same manufacturer as the V1/J1 sensors which apparently perform rather well given their real estate.

ISO performance is just fine (when downsampled to match lower resolution cameras).
If the sensor is different, DR score will be lower than Nex-7
